He needed a hot shower and a drink, badly. He saw their base coming up and let out a sigh of relief. He cleared his throat when Engie looked at him funny, thankful when the man turned back to the road. Spy jerked himself back to reality, eyes wide and cheeks slightly flushed. Sniper was his enemy, of course they’d throw snarky remarks towards eachother. Perhaps he was putting too much into this. The ride back to the base felt like forever to Spy, who was currently spiraling deeper into his thoughts than he’d like to admit. He knew the man well enough to know that he hated talking about things that plauged him. ![]() Had he made it that? He was used to the taunting words from RED’s previous Sniper, but yesterday was the first time their new hire had even spoke directly to him.Įngineer didn’t further question Spy, noticing his focused expression. Spy half nodded, over-analyzing Engie’s words as he stared out his window. “I guess it’s more personal between the two of you, huh? You’re the only one who really has to get up close to ‘em.” Hearing it aloud made it slightly more bearable. Spy didn’t join in his comrade’s laughter, but he was semi-pleased that the issue was shared among them and not just his own. Real good at his job-annoyingly good,” Engie chuckled, shaking his head. “Nah, he’s been givin' all of us problems. “Is it that obvious?” Spy questioned, dramatically laying his head back against the seat. Spy sighed that man always read him like an open book. Engineeer did the same, but continued speaking. Spy nodded breifly, turning back and looking out the windshield at the road ahead. Engie gave him a look of sympathy, sucking in air through his teeth. Spy lopped his head to the side, facing Engineer with a frown. “Your’re grouchier than normal, whats got you in a twist?” The southerner turned to him as he drove, cocking a brow. He always got shotgun unless he was the one driving, but today was Engie’s day. He reclined back onto his seat with a loud groan. Seriously, it was like it was their first ever win! Shaking his head, he scowled at the rest of his team for being obnoxious on their ride home. Blades against necks, hands pressing bodies to walls, hot breaths cascading over skin-Spy could have thought of more painfully carnal details, but he was ever-so-rudely interuptted by loud voices echoing through the van. Failed kills led to tête-à-tête fights, which led to bodies pressed against eachother in a way that Spy found way too intimate for comfort. A tension so thick he was sure the Sniper could have cut through it with that kuriki of his. The battle had ended in a yet another win for BLU, but that hadnt been what caused his displeasure. ![]() The work day had passed quickly for most, but painfully slow for Spy. He straightened it out, then flicked out his wrist and slipped on his watch. It was like muscle memory to him a second skin. He slicked back his hair with a sigh, quickly pulling his balaclava on. He got dressed quickly, all that was left to put on was his mask and watch. He shook his head, setting himself straight. He shuffled over to the mirror, taking in his own reflection and frowning. Spy swung his legs off of the bed and stood up, stretching out his stiff limbs. He shook his head, feeling a headache coming on. Retaining to a certain someone, of course. He jerked back, shoving the pillow to a normal position. Spy had woken up with his face flushed and his pillow hugged tightly against his chest. ![]() Stats: Published: Updated: Words: 4,246 Chapters: 3/? Comments: 11 Kudos: 49 Bookmarks: 3 Hits: 369
